CHILDREN'S FASHION SHOOT FOR LITTLE WARDROBE LONDON
It's been an honour working with the incredible Little Wardrobe London earlier this year, photographing some of their truly inspiring autumn-winter 2017 children's dresses.
"Every child knows that it is under the light of the moon and the stars where the best adventures are had. In tribute to a child's magical and limitless imagination, inspired by 19th century literature, Little Wardrobe London presents Midnight Noir for AW17."
This collection has been a dream to photograph - together with child model Freya Duffield, and our secret Wimbledon location. Everything came together just perfectly. I especially enjoyed brainstorming with Ayesha, the designer of these stunning creations, and trialling new ideas and concepts during the shoot.
One of the highlights of the session was using smoke bombs; the result is featured in the first photo above, and it also turned out to be one of the iconic images of the whole shoot. I'm very grateful for the team who worked with me on this project, running around with the hot pellets, holding large shading panels, feeding the fire in the fireplace, and filming a short behind the scenes video, which is available to watch at the bottom of this page.
Photographing children's fashion is the genre that is really close to my heart, beside portraiture and family photography. It is similar and completely different at the same time. It gives me the best opportunity to shoot imagery that really represent my ideas, in collaboration with the designer's vision.
To crown this collaboration, we teamed up with Little Wardrobe London to offer a complimentary shoot experience and one digital photograph to keep, to customers who purchase any Little Wardrobe London products before the end of February 2018. So why not head over to their site and browse the gorgeous outfits for boys and girls?
